Perhaps the world's most famous bow wood the Yew wood. Taxus Baccata, with is characteristic heartwood and Sapwood, now combined with Moso Bamboo
In this 70-inch recurved limb design bow, we recurved the tips and made a Moso bamboo backing with Wenge overlays.
The Bamboo is still showing as the characteristic nodes, as we only barely scraped off the wax layer leaving a very nice primitive look.
Treated with several layers of Danish oil over a layer of 2K varnish, it has a nice shine and patina to it.
The bow is supplied with a flemish double looped Fastflight string.
