Perhaps the world's most famous bow wood, translated in french it is called 'Bois d'arc ' literally: Bow wood.
Held in high regard and highly sought after Osage Orange, or botanically known as Maclura Pomifera with its characteristic heartwood orange bark and bronze glowing wood.
In this 70-inch flat crowned limb design bow, we re-enforced the tips and made Wenge nock overlays.
We scraped the wood away till we were left with one single growth ring and a very nice primitive look.
Unbraced this bow has a natural backset enhancing speed and performance. This is a very fast bow!
The grip is shaped with a piece of Laburnum and has a slight/shallow pistol grip.
Treated with several layers of Varnish and danish oil it has a nice shine and patina to it.
The bow is supplied with a flemish Fastflight string.
